Modelling

So here is the beginning of the modelling of the Alpes Stadium at Grenoble. There is still work to do but the biggest part is done. As for the texture, it won't be too complicated because there are mainly concrete, steal and wood.

Photography session

As the time wasn't lent itself to missing scenes direction, we had to put off the shooting to some other time.

All the same we decided to do a photography session with our make-up man Alex, who is such an amazing photographer. Most of the photos you will see on this blog will be taken by him.

We also took advantage of this to take a few negatives in town to have texture references and to allow us to model several buildings including the Alpes Stadium...

Beginning of the shooting !

Here we are! After long weeks of working out, the shooting began this wednesday with all the actors, the make-up man, the steadicam...
In brief, these first pictures signal the real beginning of the plan, and it's quite encouraging.
A great thanks to Svetlana and Léa for having the kindness to play the game.
To be continued on thursday for the biggest part of the plan. So we are keeping our fingers crossed that this will be as well as it was today.

Matte painting

Here is the beginning of the matte painting done by Tristan. This will illustrate the blog and our myspace and will reveal itself gradually throughout production.

Cham the drawer

Fred (alias Cham) is the young man who has drawn our storyboard, here is his interview for you.

V5X : Hi Fred, can you introduce yourself to our readers?
Cham : Hi, I'm 18 and I'm in preparatory class in Aries school at Grenoble. I've been in the region of Grenoble for about 6 years.

V5X: And what are you going to do after this school year?
Cham : I'd like to go in VFX class like you and work in the cinema in the future. I really feel like doing storyboarding, special effects and direction.

V5X : Thanks for accepting to do our storyboard but what's the reason for doing that?
Cham : I wanted to be a member of the plan, to train, to have the occasion to draw and what's more is that it is what I want to do in the future! So there is no problem!

V5X : How did you proceed?
Cham : At the first time, I read the synopsis and tried to imagine the movie... Then I cut out the shots into sequences and I was ready to draw!

V5X : What do you think about our plan?
Cham : I guess this is promising and cheer up to you.

V5X : Thanks for answering our questions.
Cham : You're welcome.

Beginning of the modelling

Here is the cable-car of grenoble's modelling, key point of our short film, but I won't tell you anymore for the moment.
Texture is in progress.

On wednesday we took some negatives on the spot to create soon a matte painting and to have additional references to finalize the production of the cable-car in computer graphic.

Svetlana's interview

V5X : Hi Svetlana! So you are one of the actress of our short film. Can you introduce yourself?
Svetlana : Hi! In brief, I'm of Russian origin and I've been in France since 2000.

V5X : You are playing a role in our movie which we won't reveal. What's the reason for your acting?
Svetlana : Let's say that I liked your plan and considering that you were looking for an actress, I tought "why not?"... This gives me another experience, I can meet people and let's say that I'm used to cameras...

V5X : What do you mean?
Svetlana: When I was abroad, I was working for a Moldavian channel.

V5X : Which message do you want to send to our readers?
Svetlana : I guess this plan may be good but now we got to work!!!

V5X : Thanks Svetlana! See you on the shooting!
